I'd have to say that this years CMW was the best I've been to yet. There was several things I wanted to see every night, though I didn't get to see all of them, and at least one delightful surprise.
This years CMW was like a weird amalgamation of things from my current musical interests (Martha Wainwright, Dan Mangan and Zeus) and my teenage musical interests (Treble Charger, I Mother Earth and the Inbreds). Getting to see the Inbreds for the first time was pretty exciting and a highlight of the festival for me.
I caught Sea + Air after Jody Glenham's set at the Free Times Cafe, they were my happy accident band for the weekend. They're a duo from Germany that has a unique baroque-y melodic sound and definitely worth checking out.
