Back in school


for now... I have class until the end of Oct then I'm done the program.





Our teachers been giving us plenty of studio time to just play around, which of course is awesome.



I like playing around with the studio lights. I'm thinking of taking the fashion course in the new year just to get more experience with the lights.







The course I'm taking is called Photography By Design. It's basically about how to create your preconceived concepts through lighting and design. I've been enjoying it, it's fun and it's challenging. I have a couple projects due for the course, one's a photo montage and the other is a self directed study of anything I choose. I'm having a bit of a hard time deciding what I want to do, too many options I suppose. I started working on the montage, but didn't like the results, so I'm going to start all over again. The fun part of the montage is that is has to be printed out, not done digitally. CUTTING AND PASTING!!! I'm looking forward to both of them...

I've been doing a bit more painting lately and serendipitously an opportunity arose to hang a couple of my paintings at a friends art show/party. It's this Sat, Sept 11 at the The Aurelian.





Paintings not really my 'thing', but it's nice to be doing something, to be taking part in something out of the norm, my norm anyway. It has me feeling somewhat motivated...

I moved into a new place a few months back and have been thinking design thoughts for a while now. I've been creeping design blogs and reading Design Lines for ideas. I thought I'd share some of the more inspiring photos...
