Aimoo's folks and dog are over, I can hear his little shuffly foot steps in the hall, it makes me smile.

Mediocre weekend. up and down. Jason Collett in London was great, some of my plans fell through (for photo sessions, for jamming and movie watching) which was/is sucky. I'm currently waiting for my photos to upload (25%), will link to 'em for you... then I think it's time for wine & movie.

in Desperate need of new equipment...

I'm currently taking all my photos with a Nikon D40. I bought it about 2 years ago, I didn't want to spend too much money on a new camera as I wasn't sure how serious I would get with the photography thing. I'm still trucking away and hoping to upgrade to perhaps a D700 sometime next year.

However in the meantime I've entered a contest to win a D2H here. Cameron Laid is the kind sir who is handing out this free camera to some lucky person. I made myself a softbox!







It works pretty good! though I'm having a couple problems with the velcro staying on though. I got the idea from this website. If you dare to try and make it for yourself I would definitely recommend having a sewing machine handy. haha, I sewed it by hand and of course it seemed to take forever!
