learnin light

starting to learn about lighting in class. So far so good, it's starting to feel like real school (not so good) in that there's so much to learn and I have actual reading to do...

M83 Nov 08

Saw M83 at the Opera House last week, on the recommendation of Mr. Blogdan. It was a decent show, I have a feeling it would have been alot better if the sound and lighting guys had actually been doing their jobs.... both sound and light were just garbage until about the last 2 songs of the main set. I have no idea what the hell happened there, maybe they were late?? or fell asleep.. I really can't imagine another explanation as to how or why it would be that bad. I do however have a feeling that they finally realized what was happening when the band played a song that featured the female vocalist prominently and you couldn't hear her at all.... Basically what I'm trying to say is, is that the last 2 songs and the encore were good, the rest, meh. but not at the fault of the band.

some friends of mine created this little piece of glory and I would like to share it with you, enjoy!!

pure gold if you ask me...

time for homework & music & things... more hiding inside, yay!... *sigh*

Lisa Marie

I know I'm a bad blogger 'cause every time anything worth blogging about happens, I'm too busy doing said thing to care about blogging it. It's when I'm bored that I blog. meh.

My friend Deanna visited me last week!

and I played a gig at the Free Times Cafe

and good 'ol Aimee got my back as usual.

My cousin Colleen visited me as well but alas, I have no pics from her visit.

Photo class started up again and I've taken a second part time job in an attempt to pay off debt & save up money for another CD and future misadventures... so I'm going to be a busy girl, but that's ok 'cause I'm looking forward to it.

oh yeah!! and one more thing;

Nine Inch Nails

yay!! It was an awesome show, even though I was getting sicker & sicker as the show progressed... the visuals were AMAZING, and the performance was of course great. I'm not a huge fan so I can't give a stellar review but the show did make me dig out my old CD's :)

Science!

bah!

Another Sad day in Lisa land; Mr, Michael Crichton passed away yesterday. I have been a long time fan and am filled with sadness.... and an urge to go pick up that last book of his that I haven't purchased yet...

*sniffle*

and just Monday I was reminiscing about how much I enjoyed the book Jurassic Park and how much better it was than the movie... just like most of his books...

but on the other hand it is what I'm sure will be a historic day... the day after Mr. Obama's election as the President of the USofA and there is that strange tinge of hope & excitement floating in the air....
